Recap | Baltimore Comedy Factory

Last night my BFF and I went out on a limb and visited the Baltimore Comedy Factory located at 36 Light Street right above Burke's Cafe (a well-known hang out spot for the locals). As I walked up to the stairs I began to question this decision. Inside was a little shady. I didn't expect a super fab! place but the seats were all cracked up with the foam busting from the seams (I was like what kind of establishment!) Looks can be deceiving people. No worries tho! I had a wonderful time. I was LOL the entire time.

I forget the name of the host but the first act was a sistah!!! Rae Diva, I gotta give her some love because she's a sistah but she could stand to work on her material. The next act was Alabama, he is from Alabama hence the name and moved to Baltimore a few years ago. He was absolutely hilarious!!!OMG! He reminds me of Bruce Bruce from ComicView (Check out the pic below). He claims first lesson he learned when he moved to Bmore was to stay away from all places that end in heights. He was right on point...Park, Liberty,O'donnell...ring a bell? Last but certainly not least was the featured comic Timmy Hall. Guess what? He is a Baltimore City Police Officer!!! That's right he's 5-0!!! Don't knock him tho, it was easy to see why he was the feature. His jokes mainly covered his experiences as a cop. However, he did not bore his audience with BCPD jokes, he spiced it up with relationships and of course...crackheads.

If you are looking for a comedy club in the city, I say hands down Baltimore Comedy Factory. For more information about upcoming events click here.
