Trouble in the Water at Maryland Institute College of Art

Trouble in the Water is a documentary about the common people in New Orleans most afflicted by Hurricane Katrina.

Kim and Scott Roberts were two of the far too many New Orleans residents left to survive Hurricane Katrina on their own, only they weathered the flood and its displacing aftermath with a camcorder in tow. Incorporating the Roberts' harrowing footage from during Katrina's wrath, producers/directors Carl Deal and Tia Lessin wisely stay out of the way in Trouble the Water, which offers a firsthand witnessing to this devastating moment in American history. Tonight the Maryland Film Festival offers a free screening of this riveting documentary.
